In order to in-depth investigate the construction and development of the Faculty of Engineering，jointly promote high-quality development of SCNU.On the morning of March 3rd,Liu Zhiming,director of the development&planning department visited the Faculty of Engineering for research and guide the work.All party and government leadership and some teachers attended the meeting.
Wu Lan,on the behalf of the Faculty of Engineering,expressed warm greetings and grateful thanks to development&planning department’s visit,and reported the development status,division of responsibilities,operation and management of the Faculty of Engineering,as well as the pressure and difficulties it faces.The Faculty of Engineering strictly follows the requirements for substantialization,guided by discipline and based on school tradition construction,strengthen the improvement of teaching and research quality and talent cultivation quality at source.Stay true to our original aspiration and forge ahead.After more than one year’s construction,it gradually rationalize the organization construction and management system,promote education and teaching,scientific research,discipline construction,teaching staff,social services,international communication etc,accelerate the construction of new engineering,play the role of university,highlight the mission of higher education in serving national strategic needs.
Then,school and institute reported and discussed the development status,the development basis,construction ideas and characteristic direction of "new engineering".
Liu Zhiming expressed his approval of the work,and said that “new engineering” caters to the national strategy and regional development needs,is an important measure to improve quality,promote fairness,innovate talent training mechanism.The university pay great attention to it,and will introduce appropriate policies to encourage and support the research and practice of new engineering.The Development&Planning Department will sort out the opinions and suggestions and absorb into the following work.Encourage the Faculty of Engineering to grasp the opportunities,overcome the difficulties,based on the university,serve the society,and contribute to the international,high-level and high-quality development of the university.
The Faculty of Engineering will further condense the direction,make scientific planning,do well in discipline construction and scientific research etc,grasp the opportunities,strengthen the teaching quality and professional construction system of new engineering construction, improve the cross-integration of engineering talent training mode, and promote the new engineering construction of the school to go solid, deep and far.
